CPJ 2010 Press Conference - Grant
The Municipality of Asunción, through Japanese and Paraguayan Center JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency) held a press conference on Friday, February 12, the Paraguayan Centre for Japanese. In the same was unveiled details of the JICA grant for renovation and total refurbishment of the Theatre Agustin Barrios CPJ.
the Administration will be present de la Ciudad de Asunción, Señora María Evangelista Troche de Gallegos, el Representante Residente de la Oficina de JICA en Paraguay, el ingeniero Hidemitsu Sakurai, el Director de Cooperación Técnica de JICA, señor Kasua Fujishiro, el Director General de Cultura y Turismo de la Municipalidad de Asunción, señor Fernando Pistilli y la Directora del Centro Paraguayo Japonés, señora Clotilde Cabral.
La donación consiste en la reposición de equipos de sonido e iluminación, con tecnología de última generación, butacas y torre de enfriamiento del aire acondicionado del teatro. Por un valor aproximado de Cuatrocientos Mil Dólares Americanos (400.000$).
Como Local counterpart Asuncion Municipality will take care of changing the theater carpets and curtains and paint it.
With the renovation and total refurbishment of the Theatre Agustin Barrios, CPJ hopes to maintain the prestige gained through the years with the improvement and modernization of services through the enjoyment of art equipment.
